The lack of a seasonal December blizzard in Canada irked me a little, and it's been ages since we saw a new flavour storm the landscape. That's all change though, as the January Blizzard of the Month is Turtle Oreo! Pecans, Oreo bits, and sickly sweet caramel.

It's a winner.

Here's something that at least some of you will enjoy... PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED PHONE SEX PANDA MATERIAL!!!

Yes after sitting for six years and collecting dust in my bedroom, I decided today to digitise "Hello and Goodbye (The Party Album)". This was recorded waaaaaay back in early 2002. It's the only Phone Sex Panda material that features me and Neil together. Because the tape had degenerated a fair bit, and because I didn't want to spend an assload of time remastering a stupid Phone Sex Panda tape. You'll notice a fair bit of noise, and also there's some weird stereo/mono stuff going on because all of sudden the tape went from stereo to mono. I've included the Gretzky song intro, even though there is no Gretzky song on the tape, and I don't ever remember recording it.

Anyhooo... enjoy this piece of history.

Phone Sex Panda-Hello and Goodbye (The Party Album)

Peter Mckay was going off on the NDP last week, kind of funny in a way.

"Being a defence critic for the NDP is a bit like being a tailor in a nudist colony. There is lots to see, lots to talk about but at the end of the day they do not do anything. That is the naked truth about the NDP."

...but that's not all!

"Mr. Speaker, again, it is not only cynical, it is hypocritical for the member from the NDP to be getting up and somehow trying to suggest that she is worried about the health, welfare and well-being of the Canadian Forces.

On every occasion we have brought legislation, we have brought bills, we have brought initiatives before this House for support for the Canadian Forces, the veterans and their families, that member and that party in the communist corner have voted against them."

Ohhhhhhhhhh the glorious rhetoric.

There's been a phone downstairs now for months, but I still never answer the phone. It's always some fuckin telemarketer, or someone else I don't know.

Sometimes I wonder if strangers think I'm rude. I probably am.

I met some kid tonight that's trying to start a French Horn fronted Black Metal band.

I went to Vancouver last weekend. Saw Aja's band finally. Randomly went to Mark Bennett's birthday party. Bought some records.

Start at CBC on Monday. Kind of anxious, afraid to fuck-up, but I know it doesn't really matter.

Anybody else seen those useless rim roller keychains? How many rims are you rolling that you need a fuckin tool for it.

I really need to vaccuum around here, it's fuckin filthy and probably not good for my health.

Back to Blizzard of the Month posts soon.

"Calling the annual slaughter a "hunt" implies the possibility of failure, of not bringing a prey to bay, where it is killed."

umm. ever heard of fuckin shot and lost (or whatever the correct term is)? A number of seals that are shot, aren't recovered — they disapear under the ice and generally die underwater. That's one of the issues anti-sealers have with the hunt.

How after two independent veterinary reviews in a span of three years, and multiple other studies, are people still calling this barbarism. Just stop it.
