Marathon Man
In 2004 I went for a stretch of 150 hours without changing my underwear. I know this because I've been reading old LiveJournal entries. Also I used to go to a LOT of parties. Current Music: Ron and Fez |

Blizzard of the Month Update for Wednesday
And the lord said unto Dairy Queen, "Create a new fucking blizzard!" and so it was done. I've been ignoring DQ for a while now. The lack of a seasonal December blizzard in Canada irked me a little, and it's been ages since we saw a new flavour storm the landscape. That's all change though, as the January Blizzard of the Month is Turtle Oreo! Pecans, Oreo bits, and sickly sweet caramel. It's a winner. Current Music: Dukes O' Pop-Steve |

Don't Let it Win
Things I learned about people with Tourettes from watching the Hallmark Hall of Fame production "Front of the Class": -they REALLY like Milli Vanilli -all they want to do is teach -they don't let tourettes rule their lives... they just obsess about it ALL THE TIME -2nd graders with cancer love them Things I learned about 2nd grade girls with cancer: -they like bunny rabbits -their mothers look like wiccan elves -their grandparents cry a lot at Thanksgiving Current Music: Ron and Fez |

Transformers
This is mainly for Helen's benefit, as I think she's the only person who ever listened to/enjoyed this. It's about 2/3 of a Transformers movie tribute show I did with another CFUV dude about 5 years ago: http://drop.io/transformers Current Music: The Odyssey Season One Episode 2 |

Boo Everyone
The list of confirmed candidates for Victoria (and everywhere else) was released today. We don't have a single independent candidate in our riding. Total bummer. On a more positive note: I just bought two rumble paks and a memory card for ten bucks, the PRGz mixtape is supposed to be out Tuesday, Hieroglyphics are in town Sunday, and Pumpkin Pie Blizzard is mere days away from being back at DQ. SUB
UVIC SUB on strike is pretty weird. Last week almost all the bathrooms were closed, and most of the gates were closed as well. This week the upstairs bathroom is open and all the gates are open. Also some random lady was playing piano upstairs at 9:00pm for about half an hour. She was pretty good. It was totally surreal. Current Music: Blood Thirsty Butchers-Silencer |

Some Gems...
From Maclean's Live-Blog of Rideau Hall action: 8:17:25 AM He’s here! A full convoy of him - “four cars to get across the street,” notes one of my colleagues. He’s in a suit - not a sweater vest. “Mr. Prime Minister, how do you feel?” Bob Fife bellows as he strides past. We can’t make out the answer, but Bob Fife assures Canadians, “He’s feeling good, Craig.” Yeah. This is why they mock us. 8:55:19 AM David Akin wonders why voters should think about the fact that Harper is a “family man” - and is Dion a “family man” too? Well, he does have a family, but somehow, I’m thinking there’s more to it than that in the cold, calculating world of psychographic marketing. It’s fascinating to watch the Muttartian-induced reaction to Harper’s response. He’s going on and on and on about family, and ends by saying that he “presumes” that Dion, who has been married “a long time” also “has children”, which makes him a family man too. He presumes? Doesn’t he know? 9:08:42 AM Peter Harris asks about the Dreaded Hidden Agenda, and the PM points out that the Liberals have an entirely out in the open tax and spend agenda. So there! Big spending and tax increases, or fiscal responsibility and certainty? Death or cake? Cyanide or kittens? Current Music: Billy Barton-Blues in the Blue of the Night |

Election Fever!
Man the new election commercials are great. I really hope Elizabeth May ends up in the tv debates. I can't wait to see her get ripped apart. Sad to see that Loyola Hearn won't be running for re-election. He always did a good job of standing up the anti-sealing assholes. Current Music: O and A |

"There's a card deck in here. We have cats."
Here's something that at least some of you will enjoy... PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED PHONE SEX PANDA MATERIAL!!! Yes after sitting for six years and collecting dust in my bedroom, I decided today to digitise "Hello and Goodbye (The Party Album)". This was recorded waaaaaay back in early 2002. It's the only Phone Sex Panda material that features me and Neil together. Because the tape had degenerated a fair bit, and because I didn't want to spend an assload of time remastering a stupid Phone Sex Panda tape. You'll notice a fair bit of noise, and also there's some weird stereo/mono stuff going on because all of sudden the tape went from stereo to mono. I've included the Gretzky song intro, even though there is no Gretzky song on the tape, and I don't ever remember recording it. Anyhooo... enjoy this piece of history. One Way Spit
It's hot as fuck in my basement and it smells like cats. A few weeks ago I took the bus to Hope and ran into this girl I hadn't seen in like a year. She was wearing this shirt she took from me like 2 or 3 years ago. It was totally surreal. Hope was aight. I pretty much just walked the dog a bunch and then played soccer on Monday. Went to Van for my cousin's birthday. Had some good chicken skewers, watched some olympic coverage — c'est la vie. Going to Seattle on Sunday. Don't have anywhere to stay. It's going to be hot as hell. Should be decent though. Catatonic Youth have a show and so do Wax Museums. I'm totally tired. I have to write a 3 page reflective essay on my co-op experience. I've been putting it off for like a month... UGH. I'm sweating like hell. Current Music: O and A |

Haven't rapped here in a while. What's happened in summer? Worked for CBC, found out I really don't want to get stuck doing local news. Went to Hornby and camped with some militant dog-kicking lesbian. Got to go swimming and fishing though, so it was actually pretty good. Work is over now and all I want to do is leave town for a while, but I have no one to leave with, and nowhere to go. Current Music: Marvelous Darlings-I Don't Wanna Go To the Party |

May Blizzard of the Month
Strawberry Cheesequake is the May Blizzard of the Month. Cheesequake blizzards have never excited me much (not being a cheesecake fan myself). I tried this blizzard a few days ago, and although the artificial strawberry flavour is stimulating as ever, the little cheesecake bits aren't particularly pleasing.
